Need a lil prayer...

wow xanga has changed!

Anyway, im on here to ask that any one who reads this will just send up a little prayer for me. There is something major in my life that I need God's wisdom in... its really difficult and i feel so unsure and confused about it. So please pray for me, for wisdom, confirmation & guidance. that would be amazing:) And as im on here I must post something

things going on....

I thought maybe i would put some ramblings on this page of mine that i don't write on anymore...

So life has been really up and down lately... for some reason after living in with no income as a volunteer in another country for 2 years i thought that when i got a full time job that pays most of my money problems would go away.... how did i ever think that? i think it was almost easier with no income, because i did not have expectations... but working full time you plan things way more! haha anyway, money has been tough lately, especially with my job not having benefits, meaning i have to pay for all my dental and eye stuff myself... which is EXTREMELY expensive! and owning a car and having your own place dont help...

but God is providing which is amazing! A part of me really wondered how he would be able to pull this one off, but of course he managed to!

There are two main topics that are constantly being discussed in canada right now, The American President and The American Recession. The american president affects me because my boyfriend is in his fourth year in university taking Politica Sciene... so he has very interesting opinions that he likes to share....personally i just listen to what people say... i really dont know enough to make my own opinion... i didnt even vote in canada (which Ben was horrified by but hey, i knew my vote didnt count - Abbotsford ALWAYS voted for the Conservative Party)

and the american recession affects me because i work in the Real Estate Market... which its incredibly interesting! I learn something new everyday. The way people view real estate is so interesting. and the way people are affected by what is going on in America is so crazy! A lot of people think Canada is going to follow into a recession but i really dont think so...

Anyway... on a lighter note... i left work the other day and went to my car.. and this is what i found....(my car is the red one)

                                                      IMG_2549

yes... the driver was no where to be found... must have been in a store somewhere...terribly annoying... oh and they had a veteran lisence plate -That means that they fought in a war... meaning they are at least 70 years old or older... i think these lisence plates are just another way for people to stereotype... oh they are old... but seriously!!! YOU HIT MY CAR!!!! thankfully it was only a small scratch... i want to send these pictures in to the insurance company because i honestly don`t know if this person should be driving!!!

i guess that wraps up my ramblings for this saturday morning... sorry if i affended anyone... but ya.

Julie is married!!!

I just had to say that! haha i can't believe it... Bri is too!! What the heck! When did I get left behind on the marriage train! I didn't even notice it pass! Us three single beauties:) haha

I would like to tell a story. Culture stories are the best. This one is dedicated to the newest father I know... and that would be John Timothy Robson Jr. who with his wife Amy  had a baby boy, im gonna say he is beautiful. I haven't seen him but I assume they would make pretty amazing offspring.

So this takes place in deep dark Africa... Samaduha, Rwanda to be exact. About 50 ft from my bedroom. Myself, Tim & one other person I can't remember were assigned to clean the toilets. Ok but in Rwanda they don't have many toilets like us Westerners do. They have holes in the ground... and how do you clean them you may ask? Well very easily. Take soapy water, throw a bucket of it in... then take a rakish broom and scrub! Then take a stick with a long squiggy on the end of it and squiggy the water into the hole. Fairly simple... and you would think painless...

Until you do this with John Timothy Robson Jr. So on this particular day the keys to the storage where our supplies , was missing! Oh and the storage room is right beside the first bathroom stall. So John Timothy Robson Jr. had the brilliant idea of climbing over the door (its hard to explain but there was space between the roof and the door of the storage room... its Africa). So John Timothy Robson Jr. successfully climbs over and gets the broom.

Now me being the diligent one starts throwing water in each stall... at the exact moment I am in the stall beside the storage room, John Timothy Robson Jr. is deciding to play Tarzan...jumping & swinging on a bar as he makes an exit from the storage room. Ok now let me explain a bit more about the scene. Each door to the stall is metal. A metal slab on hinges with wee holes & a stencil of a girl or boy.

Well John Timothy Robson Jr... miscalculates his jump... and his legs which are swinging uncontrollably hit....very hard i might add... the metal door to the first stall... at which I am bending over the bucket... the metal slab hits me... very hard... in the forehead and i fall completely backwards... stunned....

tears did spill... but I could never stay mad at John Timothy Robson Jr.

That bump is there to this day....

Congratulations Tim & Amy on carrying on your family name:)

this xanga feels like a past life. that picture. It is a year old. The last day Julie and I had together. We took a wonderful journey to Glasgow. It was a clear day & Julie, like always looked beautiful. We walked about The West End. Found this store that will take anything, it had the most interesting trinkets in it. It was a great day Ill never forget.

Peppermint Mochas is the title. That is wierd. I had one today. I don't think I have had one since living in Scotland. That was always my indulgence. Every time I would go into Glasgow I would get a Peppermint Mocha. Mind you, I only went maybe once a month!

So Im on here again. I know no one else really is. But I need to write things down. My mind is getting over crowded. Memories are pouring back to me. I need to be able to write them because I can't tell them to anyone. No one is willing to listen.

Christmas is all around us. It amazes me. How I had forgotton what it felt like. For the past three years Dec 15ish time was when I finally started thinking about Christmas. Its wierd to look back.

Christmas in Morocco
Christmas in Madrid
Christmas in Rwanda

Each year I had my one Christmas CD that I had made that first year, to last me. The first year I didn't have much joy. Just saddness.
The second year was better. Julie & I planned, and we made a wonderful Christmas celebration with our boys.. Micah, Duncan, Chase & Daniel. We even bought them gifts for stockings! Yet still I wanted to forget it was Christmas. All I wanted was to be home.
Then the third year. Bri and Veronica were amazing to be with. We went on vacation to Lake Kivu. A beautiful part of Rwanda. You can see The Congo on the other side. It was hot and we celebrated Christmas together like a family. The 12 of us were probably the closest we had ever been on that day.

That has been on my mind mainly. Christmas. I wanted to share a bit, maybe get it out of my head. So many things now seem new because I haven't done them for so long. I was in high school the last time I was in Canada for Christmas! ACK!

I really feel like I could write for hours and hours. But Ill stop now. Ill think of a great story that is amazing & I haven't told anyone because it is in the back of my mind. And it will be great.
